Hiya, Jessica!
Welcome to planDisney –– I'm so glad you stopped by with a question about your upcoming visit. Can you believe that you're less than 3 weeks away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort? You're going to be wandering down Main Street, U.S.A., and taking in all the magic of the holiday season before you know it! If holiday treats are a favorite of yours (and let's be honest, who
doesn't love all those festive goodies?), be sure to keep your eye on
Disney Parks Blog for the release of this year's
Foodie Guide to Walt Disney World Resort. This is always my go-to resource to help me plan can't-miss seasonal snacks for my visit and I definitely recommend taking a peek before heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth. While the 2022 edition isn't available just yet, I would expect it any day now, so give it a look before your vacation begins.
One of my favorite things about the
My Disney Experience mobile app is that it allows you to make plans for your entire group in one place. Since my extended family regularly travels together, this makes coordinating things like
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lanes and virtual queues really easy. To do this, you'll just need to make sure that each member of your traveling party is connected to you through your My Disney Experience Friends & Family List (this can even be done if people in your group are using their own app to make their own plans). Then, when it's time to make your selections, you'll be able to include all the eligible Guests in your party and reserve your spot together as a single group.
In addition to making reservations and selections together, you'll also be able to create
Disney MagicMobile passes for other members of your Friends & Family list, as well, as long as you're the person who manages their plans (if they manage their own plans, they'll need to create their own pass). Then, you can store those passes in the mobile wallet of your own device or, if you're using an iOS device, you can even send them via Messages to another device. Even though my kids love to have their own
MagicBand for our visits, I always create and save a Disney MagicMobile pass for them on my phone, as well –– that way, in the not-so-unlikely event that someone forgets or loses their band, I always have an easy way to access their ticket. The only thing you'll want to keep in mind, though, is that you'll need to scan each individual Disney MagicMobile pass to enter a park or Lightning Lane. If you're traveling with a group, the process of trying to keep everything straight as you're scanning and scrolling can get confusing. For that reason, I really recommend each person have their own MagicBand, key card, or mobile device to use, and keep those additional Disney MagicMobile passes on your phone as a backup if needed.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Jessica. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
