Hi Lizzi,
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always great to see you drop by with another thoughtful question. With a little bit of planning, trust, and pixie dust, a visit to the
Most Magical Place on Earth can be the perfect combination of fun and relaxation everyone looks for in a vacation. From the sound of it, you're taking advantage of the current Special Offers for Guests staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, including
complimentary water park admission on check-in day. Wise choice and a perfect way to splash into your Disney getaway!
To answer your question, you can mix and match how your group accesses their Disney experiences. There are several ways to
access your vacation plans, including the My Disney Experience app, MagicBand, MagicBand+,
Disney MagicMobile, and Key to the World cards. What’s great is that they all pull from the same place: your MyDisney account. As long as your Disney Resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets are properly linked to your account, each member of your party can use whichever access method works best for them.
This is exactly what my own family does. I manage everything through my MyDisney account, and my wife and kids can just focus on enjoying the day. My little ones like tapping their MagicBands to enter the parks or Lightning Lane entrances. My wife usually handles mobile food orders through her account via the
My Disney Experience app while we’re waiting in line for an attraction, and the charges go straight to our room folio. It’s seamless and allows each of us to enjoy the vacation in our own way. Just think of your
MagicBand+ as an extension of your MyDisney account, just like the My Disney Experience app. Both work in harmony to help you enjoy everything Walt Disney World has to offer.
If you’d like any help navigating the
Lightning Lane system, want some tips on which rides to prioritize, or are looking for dining recommendations at
Blizzard Beach,
Typhoon Lagoon, or inside the theme parks,
feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share some extra Disney intel with you.
See you real soon,
Brent
