Hi Michele!
Congratulations on your fast-approaching Walt Disney World vacation!
What you've heard is correct! A fun and hidden gem to enjoy while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is '
Movies Under the Stars!' This fun feature used to be only at a select few resort locations, but now happens nightly, weather permitting, at all Walt Disney World Resort Hotel locations.
A pre-selected movie is shown each evening either at a beach or poolside location, on an inflatable or permanent screen. The featured Disney Movie usually begins at around 8:30pm and a listing of the week's schedule is posted at each individual resort near the movie location. The information can also be obtained from the Guest Services, Concierge or Resort Recreation desk at each resort.
Some movie locations also include a campfire and marshmallow roast or even a dance party!
It's a fun way to unwind with the family at the end of a Disney Day!
A particularly fun location to consider visiting is at the Fort Wilderness Campground. You don't need to be a guest of the campground to attend and no admission is required. Here, the festivities begin a little earlier with campfire lighting (S'mores kits are sold on site) followed by
Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long and then the movie. It's a fun evening for all! Check with the resort or a Guest Services location for start times during your visit.
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your fantastic question Michele!
Please write me back any time you wish. I love sharing recommendations and I hope to hear from you again soon!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
