going to Disney end of may and staying at art of animation. How do we use the busses to get to the parks? want to catch the extra hours at magic kingdom and animal kingdom- how early do we have to be at a bus stop? How hard to bring strollers/bags on bus?

    Hello Erica!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family and I adore Disney's Art of Animation Resort. You can catch complimentary Walt Disney World transportation buses in front of Art of Animation, and they will take you directly to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. There is a different bus for each of the theme parks, and you'll see the signs indicating which stop is for which park.

Usually the buses start running about 1 hour prior to the opening of each theme park - even during Extra Magic Hours. I try to be on the first bus, because the buses run approximately every 20 minutes, and I like being in front of the crowds. Also it gives me extra cushion time just in case we're running late or a bus is full or delayed. However, there is no required time you have to be at the bus stop as the buses run continually throughout the day.

Strollers must be folded before boarding the bus. There isn't a lot of room for strollers and extra bags, but we make it work. You certainly won't be the only one with a stroller!
