I am going to Disney the end of March. I have a 5year boy. We want to do one character dinner and I am looking for advice on which one to go to. I was thinking MIckey's backyard barbeque or the Hoop-de-do review.

Hi Elizabeth!  A character dining experience will be a wonderful event for your five year old son!

Mickey's Backyard BarBQ is an excellent choice and is located in Fort Wilderness.  The kids definitely get into the fun and dance with the characters.  If you are staying in the Fort wilderness area I would recommend this experience over the Hoop De Doo Revue for a five year old.

Other wonderful and favorite character dining treats include Chef Mickey's dinner at the Contemporary Resort, Cape May Cafe character breakfast at the Yacht and Beach Club, and Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom park.  If your son has a favorite character then it would be important to make sure he has a chance to meet and greet him or her.  You can read more about each of these by clicking here.

Be sure and make your dining reservations 90 days out from your arrival by calling 407-939-3463.
