will be in Disney end of July-Aug. Children ages 11,8,under 2. I picked 3 rest. Chef Mickey, Teppen Edo and Whispering Canyon. I've been to Chef M but not the other 2 any thoughts on them? I haven't read much about whispering canyon. thanks

    Hi Eileen,

You and your family must be so excited for your upcoming vacation!  You've picked some great restaurants that I think you will really enjoy.

Teppen Edo is similar to Benihana (if you're familiar with that chain) where the food is prepared on a hibachi grill in front of you.  Try the scallops - they're delicious!

Whispering Canyon is one of my family's favorite restaurants.  We almost always order the Canyon Skillet.  It's an all-you-can-eat assortment of barbecued meats, salad, cornbread, corn on the cob, cole slaw...you get the idea.  The atmosphere in the restaurant is fun - there are plenty of opportunities for children to get up from the table and join in games & antics with he wait staff.  Also, if you've never been to the Wilderness Lodge, you're in for a treat!  The resort is beautiful - while you wait for your table you can search for hidden Mickey's, get pressed pennies, or build with the giant Lincoln Log set in the restaurant.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
