Where on Disney would we get Emergency medical assistance if needed? My husband and I are bringing all the kids and grand kids in November for a week. My 28 year old son is highly allergic to bee stings and I would like to know emergency procedures.

    Hi Bonnie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you're bringing your whole family on a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!! Disney's Theme Parks and Resort Hotels should be fully and beautifully decorated in their winter best by the time of your visit, including the larger-than-life famous gingerbread displays at select Deluxe Resort Hotels.

I'm so sorry that your son is allergic to bees, but I love that you're still being a good mom after all of these years to take every precaution to make sure he'll be okay. Each of Disney's Theme Parks has a centrally located First Aid Center that is like an urgent care facility. (Scroll to the bottom of the linked page for maps of all in-park First Aid centers.) The care-taking Cast Members here are all Registered Nurses and will be able to help with most immediate and minor crises. You can also leave any emergency medications that he might need at these facilities should you not want to risk carrying them around all day.

For more emergent needs, notify any Cast Member who will be able to start the chain of command in getting help. There is a Fire Station on property that has EMS services, and they are able to swoop in within 20 to 30 minutes to be provide extra hands or to transport a guest in need to an actual hospital. Also, ask for a list of local hospitals at check-in. There are a few that offer complimentary round-trip transportation from Disney Resort Hotels to their facilities, but your hotel will be able to give you the best advice of what to do for extreme cases from it's specific location.

I hope this helped, Bonnie, and We'll See Your Entire Family Real Soon!
