Does your Disney eGift card have to have been purchased directly from Disney in order to add it to your apple wallet? I packaged an eGift card from target but I don’t see the option in the email to add it to my wallet.

Hey there, hi there, Cassandra! Welcome back to planDisney. You've brought us a great question!

Your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth is just days away and I'm so excited for you! I love the convenience of using Disney Gift Cards while I'm in the parks and I'm happy to hear you will be using them too. Unfortunately, I am unsure if you can add an eGift card purchased from a third party to Apple Wallet if you don't see the option in the email to add it. If your email shows a barcode for the gift card you could always screenshot that and add it to your photo album on your phone. However, I do have a fix for you if you can't get it added to your Apple Wallet.

If you already have a Disney Gift Card in your Apple Wallet (even if there isn't a balance), you can head to the Disney Gift Card website and create an account. Once you are logged in, you can link your digital gift card, as well as your newly purchased Disney eGift Card and any others you may have. Then you can transfer any balances you have on any cards onto the one that you already have in your Apple Wallet! Success! If you don't have any that you can load onto your Apple Wallet, you could purchase one from shopDisney as well.

Cassandra, I hope this information is helpful. Please come back and see us again if you have any other questions.

You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
