Do the Disney eateries and Restaurants have options for people who have food allergies (gluten free) or specific eating options (vegetarian/vegan)? If they do, I hope it is not just salads. That will be disappointing.

    Hello, Vonetta,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Walt Disney World is wonderful with making accommodations for Special Dietary Requests. As a former vegetarian, I made many trips to Walt Disney World and never had any difficulty eating and actually fell in love with many restaurants because i was able to eat something other than a salad.  My favorite dessert to this day was an avocado ice cream with fresh pineapple at Boma - Flavors of Africa that the chef made just for me!

To have more choices, however, you may find the Table Service restaurants more accommodating because they can go "off menu" more easily.  When I made our dining reservations, I always included a note about my dining restrictions. When I arrived at the restaurant, I reminded the server and oftentimes the chef came out to speak to me and offer some alternative choices.

Before you go, you may also want to look over the online menus of the restaurants to get a better idea of what choices you'll have. It may help you to decide to visit one restaurant over another. There are also many online articles about vegetarian/vegan dining at Walt Disney World that you may want to take a peek at beforehand.

If we can help with any further questions, please let us know.  Happy Disney Dining!  -Kara
