We will be in Disney during July 4th week. We were wanting to try and make reservations for any dinners where we could watch the fireworks from. Our anniversary is on the 3rd, so we were actually looking for two dinners. Any suggestions?

    Hi Viridiana,

Watching the fireworks from a nice dining location will be such a fun way to celebrate your anniversary at Walt Disney World!

A restaurant that comes to mind for viewing of fireworks is the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. However, this restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment and may not be open when you are traveling. You might consider calling Disney Dining Reservations at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) occasionally to check when the reopening date is announced. There are some other restaurants from which you can view the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Consider Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort, or Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Also, there are restaurants in Epcot from which you can view the Illuminations fireworks. These include Tokyo Dining in the Japan pavilion, La Hacienda de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion, or dining on the patio at Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room in the England pavilion. Also you could check out the new restaurant in the France pavilion, Monsieur Paul. This restaurant is located above Les Chefs de France.

For any of these dining experiences, be sure to note on your advance dining reservation that you are celebrating your anniversary. When you arrive at the restaurant, you can request seating that will put you in a position to see the fireworks. For many of these locations, even if you are not seated directly by a window, it is okay to move over to a window or outside patio to watch when the fireworks are showing.

For more details on seeing fireworks from these restaurants, you can visit www.disneyfoodblog.com. Search "fireworks dining" for a two-part series on restaurants from which to see the fireworks.

I hope that you enjoy your anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World, Viridiana.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
