I am going on the Disney Dream in Oct and will be training for a half marathon. How long is the track on Goofy's Sport Deck?

    Hi,  Tracy!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise this fall aboard the beautiful Disney Dream!  When I sailed in January, I too was training for a half marathon -- the Walt Disney World Princess 1/2. I had to squeeze in some time to run so that I wouldn't fall behind in my training once I was back on land.

The running track is actually on Deck 4 of the Disney Dream and 2 1/2 times around is a mile.  Goofy's Sports Deck on (Deck 13, Aft) features a miniature golf course, virtual sports simulators and a basketball/volleyball court. Plus, there is a small walking track, but you would get dizzy trying to run a significant distance there.

I recommend inquiring with the fitness center about the 5K route on Castaway Cay. There is usually a guided run on the morning the ship docks at Disney's private island, but the fitness center can give you more definite plans or provide you with suggested running routes.  Of course, the fitness center also has treadmills situated with beautiful ocean vistas, too.

Best of luck on your race, and let me know if I can help you further. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
