Ahoy, Amanda!
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s so wonderful to see you dropping anchor here again. May is just a few short months away, and soon you’ll be setting sail on the magnificent
Disney Dream! This ship is extra special to my family—it was the first ship we ever sailed on, and it holds a treasure trove of magical memories for us.
Let’s chart a course for
your theme nights! For your 4-night sailing in May, here’s what’s on the horizon:
• Day 2 (Nassau):
Pirate Night! Get ready to “yo-ho” the night away with a swashbuckling celebration. My family always packs matching pirate shirts, and we love seeing everyone’s creative outfits. Pro tip: Don’t skip the “Bananas in Paradise” dessert at dinner—it’s an absolute gem!
• Day 3 (
Lookout Cay): Optional “dress-up night.” Whether you prefer formal wear or something a bit more dress-casual, this is a perfect night to take advantage of the photo backdrops in the Atrium and capture some timeless family memories.
• Remaining nights: Cruise casual. Think of it as a chance to relax and enjoy the magic of rotational dining without worrying too much about fancy attire.
If you’re looking to add an extra sprinkle of pixie dust to your voyage, I highly recommend booking
brunch or dinner at Palo. While I haven’t experienced it on the Dream just yet, Palo is one of my favorite spots to indulge in a quiet, elegant meal—and the Limoncello Torte is absolutely unforgettable!
You might already know this living in Florida, but here’s a little tip: Pack a lightweight sweater or jacket for the evenings. While the weather in May is typically warm, the breeze on deck or in the theaters can get a bit chilly—especially after a day of sunshine and fun!
Amanda, thank you for visiting planDisney again! I hope this helps you prepare for an unforgettable adventure on the Disney Dream. Whether you’re posing for family photos, exploring the ship’s enchanting spaces, or relaxing at Lookout Cay, this cruise is bound to be a dream come true.
Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
Dustin
