Hi there, Leslie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you stopped by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. It will be here before you know it and I hope you’ve already downloaded the Disney Cruise Line
Navigator app to have easy access to a full schedule of events while onboard.
On that last day of your cruise, your stateroom host or hostess will provide you with luggage tags and instructions for setting out luggage that you would like taken off the ship for you (that you will collect in the port terminal after disembarkation). At dinner that night, your dining room server will inform you when and where you will have breakfast the next morning. After breakfast, you will wait for further disembarkation instructions and once you disembark, you will collect your luggage from the port terminal (porters will be available to assist with luggage) and you will make your way to the motor coach for ground transportation to Orlando International Airport. The porter will help ensure your luggage makes it onto the motor coach and then once you arrive at the airport, you will collect your luggage and proceed to airline check-in as you normally would.
Onboard airline check-in is a nice convenience, but my family always, always, always flies Southwest Airlines due to the convenience it offers my family. Plus, I sometimes like the advantage of seeing and touching my luggage – guaranteeing that it at least makes its way off the ship and to the airport with me!
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea with Captain Mickey! Please come back with any other questions you may have as your vacation approaches!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
