Hello, Audrey!
Welcome to planDisney. I am glad you sent your question to us! I sailed with my planDisney friends on the
Disney Dream last year, and we had the best time! Make sure to check out the Broadway-style shows, especially
The Golden Mickeys. This phenomenal show typically features beloved Disney Characters from different movies, including my favorite, Tarzan. It is a must-watch!
We used ground transportation provided by Disney Cruise Line between Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when we debarked from our Disney Cruise. Information about reserving ground transfers can be found on the
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transporation page. Click on "Sailing from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas or the Caribbean" from the top of the page to see available options. I suggest
calling Disney Cruise Line to add your ground transfers in advance. Make sure to have your flight information available when calling.
Disney Cruise Line currently recommends that Guests arrive at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on embarkation day no later than noon, and depart from that airport on debarkation day at 11:00 a.m. or later. For Miami International Airport, they recommend an 11:00 a.m. (or earlier) arrival time on embarkation day and at least a noon departure time when returning home.
If at all possible, I highly recommend flying in the day before your sail date. Flight delays are always a possibility, and it would be very disappointing to arrive late for your cruise!
Pre-hotel stays can be booked by calling Disney Cruise Line, and they can also assist with transportation to and from that hotel.
Audrey, I hope this information was helpful. Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have more questions.
Happy sailing!
Jen
