Hey there, Sara! Welcome aboard - and welcome to the
Disney Cruise Line corner of planDisney. Adventure awaits, and your well-deserved vacation is coming up in just a few short weeks! Let's dive right in for all the details you'll need for fun times on the
Disney Dream.
The Dream holds a special place in my heart, as I last sailed on the ship for planDisney training with my practically perfect pals in the Class of 2024. You are going to have an incredible time - everything from the food to the entertainment to the service is top-notch!
One of my favorite memories from that sailing was tackling the
AquaDuck with the group. The AquaDuck (on the Dream and the Fantasy) is a unique "water coaster" that takes Guests on an exciting adventure all around the ship - it is super fun, and I highly recommend taking a turn at night if you can!
Guests must be at least 7 years of age to ride the AquaDuck alone, or must ride with someone at least 14 years of age. The height requirement is 42" for a child riding with a partner, or 54" to ride solo. It's also important to note that swim goggles are not allowed, but there are some cubbies near the entrance where you can stash any gear before heading up the stairs to the starting point.
Sara, if your cruise itinerary includes a stop at
Castaway Cay, be sure to check out Pelican Plunge, which is a floating water play area at the family beach that you can swim out to. There are two waterslides here that are a blast! If you're worn out after all that activity, there are inner tubes for rental - spending an hour or two floating and relaxing is just delightful.
I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Sara! Thanks so much for sailing over to planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again anytime if we can assist with any other questions.
Bon Voyage!
Susan
