    For the Disney Dream cruise out of Port Canaveral on the dress up night my husband would like to wear slacks and a long sleeve shirt instead of a suit because of luggage space. Do most of the men wear suits?

    You are down to the final days until your DREAMy vacation with Disney Cruise Line. Whoo-hoo! How exciting! I am pleased to help you with your question. My pirate crew had a fabulous vacation on the Dream a few months ago, and I am sure that your family will delight in the warmth and friendliness of the cast members, the majestic décor of the ship, and of course the fine dining. On the Dream, there will be an Optional Dress Up Night for guests to dress up or simply arrive with cruise casual attire. Since the Dress Up Night is optional, guests may come as formal as suits/ties and as informal as polo shirts with khakis. When I last sailed, I noticed plenty of people dressing exactly like your husband will and it was fine. The fun part about the Dress Up Night is that the Disney characters will be outfitted in their formal wear, and it is a great opportunity to get unique photos with them. Barbara, I hope that your crew has a wonderful cruise on the Dream next week, and please say hi to Captain Mickey for me!
