We will be going on the Disney Dream cruise in July 2011, w/ 2 children who will be 6 & 4. We have been to the parks twice before w/ them, and would like to add a few days at DisneyWorld before or after our cruise. Which would you recommend? Thanks!

    Hi Luciana,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I think that a land and sea vacation is the ultimate in family fun!

Although I may be in the minority, I prefer to visit Walt Disney World after the cruise.  I have cruised after a visit to the parks and the main thing I did not like about it was the transition day. When coming from a WDW resort to the cruise I felt like I really missed a day of our vacation. We had a lot of waiting to leave the resort, waiting at the terminal, waiting for the stateroom etc. Whereas if you cruise first, you are refreshed and ready the first day of the cruise (and not exhausted after touring the parks) and once you disembark the ship in the early morning you are energized and ready to for phase two of your vacation -- and could be playing in the parks before noon!

    Hope this helps!
