Ahoy there Amylto! Welcome to planDisney!
Of all the things that are special about a Disney Cruise Line vacation, one that surprises many Guests is that other than a few beer and wine packages that are offered through
Onboard Gifts, there isn't an "unlimited alcoholic beverages" package that you may be familiar with if you've sailed with...well, let's just say some other "less magical" cruise lines...haha!
While that may not be the answer you were searching for, the good news is that on a Disney Cruise Line ship, some of the beverages that you'd have to purchase a package on other cruise lines for
are already included with the cost of your sailing! On each of the
Disney Cruise Line ships, sodas, non-specialty coffee, tea, juice, and even hot chocolate are included at meals and when visiting the beverage stations located on the top decks! I know that I love being able to get a basic cup of tea after dinner - or anytime for that matter - to take along to
a movie in the Buena Vista Theatre, an
amazing Broadway-style show in the Walt Disney Theatre, or even just to the pool deck late at night to spend a bit of time in a deck chair watching Funnel Vision in the cool ocean breeze! Here's a planDrew-approved tip: be sure to pack a refillable cup or bottle with you - or pick one up in one of the gift shops - to make the most of the drink stations AND decrease paper waste!
If you're still interested in getting the most value out of your adult beverages purchases, definitely check out the beverage tasting seminars offered in the lounges around the ship during your cruise, as well as ask for the "drink of the day" if it sounds tasty to you! Honestly, we've found the a-la-carte nature of alcohol on Disney Cruise Line actually keeps the prices more comparable to a normal night out! So when you
stop by any of the lounges in The District while aboard the Disney Dream, you should be able to have a great time without breaking the bank - even if your Key to the World Card makes spending a little too easy, haha!
Oh, and a bonus planDrew-approved tip: don't forget to
check out the alcohol policy - each adult can bring aboard 6 12-ounce beers or two 750ml bottles of wine in each port, so you can stretch your beverage budget even farther if you wish!
I hope that helps you make a few additional plans for your sailing this fall, Amylto! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface while you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds, following seas, and however many sheets to the wind you can muster!
