We are going on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas next year and we are taking our baby with us. He will be 1 year old when we go but my husband and I are thinking about going to Atlantis Park. Can we leave him with the ship's nursery while we are there?

    Ahoy, Vanessa!

I'm so happy to hear you have a Disney Cruise on the calendar for next year!

Disney Cruise Line does an amazing job when it comes to families cruising with little ones. They have a beautiful, bright nursery space available for the littlest cruisers (ages 6 months to 3 years old) - "it's a small world! nursery". Our youngest daughter had just turned two on our first Disney Cruise, and I was a little uneasy about how she'd do if I left her in the nursery. Once we spoke with the sweet counselors that would be taking care of her, we knew she was going to love it! They have a fantastic play space, with loads of toys for little ones to enjoy. They have fun activities to keep the kiddos happy and entertained, and a separate space for napping. I always encourage guests to stop by and visit the nursery on embarkation day during Open House hours so they can let their child get acclimated to the space and the counselors. It's a great time to ask any questions you may have about their services!

Nursery services will be available during port days, so you're more than welcome to check them in while you enjoy a Port Adventure off the ship. If your child will need a meal or snacks while you're away, simply discuss with the counselors  You'll be able to relax and enjoy your time ashore, knowing your kids are safe, secure, and having a blast under the watchful eye of the awesome Youth Counselors.

Advance reservations are required, and can be made online when your advance booking window opens. Reservations are also available on a first-come, first-served basis on embarkation day. Currently, the rate is $9.00 per hour for nursery care.

I hope this helps with your planning! - Diane W.
