    Disney Dream in August-Hooray! My daughter would love to do the Para sailing excursion at Castaway with me on her 8th birthday. The site says for ages 8 &up yet the fine print indicates a minimum weight of 90lbs. Can a 60lb 8yr old go tandem w/parent?

    Hooray! I'm doing a little "happy dance" for you as you anticipate your turn to sail aboard the new Disney Dream this summer. She is a spectacular ship, and her details will enchant you and your family!

    Another glorious aspect of a Bahamian cruise on Disney Cruise Line is the chance to spend a day at Castaway Cay. Although I've never had the courage to go parasailing (yet!), I do know that you must weigh at least 90 pounds in order to parasail alone -- at least 180 pounds(combined weight) tandem. Therefore, if your pint-sized princess weighs 60 pounds, the adult parasailing with her must weigh at least 120 pounds. (I unfortunately would have no trouble meeting that minimum weight -- especially after being on a Disney cruise for a day or so!) Hopefully, someone in your group will help your daughter get up to that minimum -- if not, just take a few rounds at the buffet that morning!
