We are going on the Disney Dream. What is the attire for children at dinner?

    Hi, Amy!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- she is a spectacular ship and oh-so stylish!

Dinner attire for any Disney Cruise Line guest aboard 5-night itineraries is "cruise casual" -- which essentially means no shorts, swimwear or tank tops in the main dining rooms.  Two nights will be optional themed nights -- including pirate costumes and/or accessories for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party and "dress up" night which means sport coats, suits and dresses are suggested but not required.

For the youngest guests, parents are going to be the best at guiding their own children. I request that all my boys (no matter their age) wear nice long pants and a collared shirt each night to dinner (unless it's pirate night), and I don't have to ask my daughter to wear a dress.  (She's a girly-girl!) It's so rare that all of us are at the same place at the same time dressed up with such fantastic back drops and with professional photographers at our disposal! I definitely take advantage of the opportunity to capture the moment! Plus, it's really no big deal to go back to the stateroom for a quick change if the kids want to wear something more casual to the youth clubs later.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
