I have $200 Disney Dollars on a card - I'd like to use them toward buying a 3 day pass at Disneyland -- How do I do this? If I get a Disney Chase Visa card, can I transfer the Disney Dollars to my new Visa card - then use the card to pay for the tix?

Hey there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you brought this question our way.

It sounds like you’re referring to Disney Rewards Dollars, and you’re absolutely right: they can be used toward the purchase of Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. In fact, I can’t think of a more magical way to put them to use! Since you mentioned you already have a card, it sounds like your Rewards Dollars are loaded onto a Disney Rewards Redemption Card, which is exactly what you’ll need.

When you’re ready to buy your 3-day ticket, simply add the tickets to your cart on the Disneyland website or in the Disneyland mobile app. At checkout, look for the checkbox that says “Use a Disney Rewards Redemption Card.” Select that option, enter the card information, and your Disney Rewards Dollars will be applied right to your purchase.

And here’s a bit of extra good news, Robert: since it appears you’re a California resident, you should be eligible for the California Resident 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket special offer. These tickets are on sale now and valid for visits from January 1 through May 21, 2026. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy some extra savings on your next visit—savings you can put right toward a few Mickey-shaped treats along the way!

As for your question about transferring those Rewards Dollars to a new Disney Visa Card: while I’m not a Disney Visa expert, the Disney Rewards site notes that once Rewards Dollars are loaded onto a Disney Rewards Redemption Card, they’re considered redeemed. That means they can’t be transferred back into your Disney Visa account to be used as a statement credit. So if you ever want to apply Rewards Dollars toward your Disney Visa balance in the future, they would need to remain unredeemed in your Disney Visa account rather than being loaded onto a Redemption Card.

Robert, I hope this helps you get everything lined up for an unforgettable visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Should you need more tips, tricks, or a little extra pixie dust as you plan, feel free to visit us again here at planDisney.

    Have a magical day!
