Hello Disney Moms! We are disneymooning at the Yacht Club in September (can't wait!) and would like to make MK our first park day on Wed 10th, MK opens at 0900 and we'd like to do rope drop! If we're at the YC bus stop at 0800 is that enough time? Thanks!

Hello Gemma.  Congratulations on your Disneymoon, what a fun place to celebrate!  Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a wonderful resort, I know you are going to have a great time.

In the mornings, buses start running 1 hour prior to the park opening.  If you are at the bus stop at 8:00 am, that is going to give you plenty of time to get to Magic Kingdom before it opens.  I normally try to be at the bus stop 45 minutes before park opening.  The bus ride from Disney's Yacht Club Resort to the Magic Kingdom will take anywhere between 15-25 minutes.  In my opinion, it is always better to be earlier than later and miss out on something.

If I can help you with anything else before your trip, please feel free to let me know.  Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
