Hi Tamara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am thrilled that you are considering a
Dining Plan. There are actually three standard options for a dining plan. Your family can choose the Quick-Service, Disney Dining, or Deluxe Dining Plan.
Here is how they work. On each plan, the number of meals you will receive corresponds to the number of nights you stay. On the Quick-Service plan, each guest 3-years old and over receives two Quick-Service meals and two snacks per night of stay. On the Disney Dining Plan, each guest receives one Table-Service and one Quick-Service meal per night of stay. In contrast, on the Deluxe Dining Plan, each guest receives three meals per night of stay and those meals can be Quick-Service or Table-Service. On each dining plan, each guest receives two snacks per night of stay and one resort refillable mug.
If your family stays five nights and purchases the Disney Dining Plan, then you would get a total of 10 meals and 20 snacks for our trip. The Disney Dining Plan was quite good when we used it, but now that we have upgraded to the Deluxe plan, we appreciate the flexibility it affords us.
I cannot tell you exactly how much the dining plan costs because the price can change depending on your trip dates. I advise you to check online with the
Walt Disney World Resort. At present, the online system will let you know how much the package price is before you add a dining plan. Once you select a dining plan, you will see the total trip cost. On our last trip, we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table and California Grill. Had we paid out of pocket just for those meals, California Grill would have cost $250 and Cinderella's Royal Table would have cost about $210.
Happy Planning!
