Can you use the Disney Dinning cards for character dining?

Greetings and welcome to the happiest corner of the internet, LeeAnn. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the riverbend and I'm delighted to help you prepare.

You can absolutely use your Disney Dining Card for Character Dining at Storyteller's Cafe. As a matter of fact, I recently used one of my Disney Dining Cards here during a recent visit. We had so much fun, and it was a great way to kick off the beginning of our magical stay. Having characters come to our table to visit made our mealtime extra magical. Be sure to have your phone or camera nearby and ready to go to capture all of the magical moments. Mickey Waffles are always a must for breakfast or brunch, and if you happen to be there for dinner, I always recommend swinging by the dessert section for a tasty treat or two (or three).

There are so many wondrous things happening at Disneyland in 2026. The Lunar New Year festivities will begin the day after your arrival on January 23rd. It also looks like Disneyland Park will be closing early on the day of your arrival due to a special ticketed event, Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite. I usually like to glance at the Hours & Events Calendar to help with planning.

Well, LeeAnn, I hope this has been helpful. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Come back to see us with any other questions.
