Hello, Donald! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've dropped by to talk about one of my favorite things - Disney Dining!
Donald, as of right now,
advanced dining reservations can be made 60 days prior to your arrival. You can make dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. If you are arriving on May 2, 2022, by my calculations your reservation-making day is Thursday, March 3, 2022. Of course, you'll want to double-check my math on that one. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you'll be able to make advanced dining reservations for the length of your stay up to 10 days on that 60 day out mark so you'll want to have an itinerary of what you want to do and when before then.
Right now, Donald, my very favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World happens to be
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. It's so good! The restaurant is set right on the lake at Disney Springs and it's a perfect place to watch the sun go down. The menu has something to please even the pickiest of eaters which makes it great for the whole family. My current go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. It's so delicious I honestly have a smile just typing about it right now! If there is any room at the end of the meal, I always suggest trying the key lime pie in a jar. It's light and tart and the perfect ending to a really great meal.
Another restaurant that I just love is
Steakhouse 71 which just opened last week at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a modern take on all of those classics from the 70's. Everything on the menu has a story and the food is downright delicious. I actually sampled every item on the dinner menu and I was blown away with everything. I've made several reservations for upcoming trips to eat there again because it really was that good.
I hope this helps, Donald! If you have any other questions about dining or anything else, feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Enjoy!
