Hi how much are the Disney dining plans for 2020 and is their a military discount?????

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lynda!

I’m a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan, and I’ve spent a lot of time this week drooling over my list of must-eat snacks and entrees during my upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I really appreciate the convenience of pre-paying, allowing us to order whatever sounds good without worrying about budget – it really makes the vacation feel all-inclusive.

There are three types of dining plans at the Walt Disney World Resort: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Disney Dining Plan, and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plans web page outlines the details about each dining plan, and I recommend reading carefully so you can understand not only the differences between the plans, but also what is and is not included in each plan. We’re always available to help here on the Moms Panel, so come back and see us if you have any questions about the plans!

As for pricing, the exact cost of each 2020 Disney Dining Plan varies slightly depending on time of visit and the details of your Disney Vacation Package, but here are approximate prices, which are subject to change:

Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan: $55 per adult (aged 10 and above), $26 per child (aged 3-9)

Disney Dining Plan: $78 per adult (aged 10 and above), $31 per child (aged 3-9)

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan: $119 per adult (aged 10 and above), $48 per child (aged 3-9)

In order to add a Disney Dining Plan, you must have booked a Walt Disney World Vacation Package, including theme park tickets and resort hotel accommodations for each Guest on the reservation. Here’s where the military discount comes in: while there is not a military discount on the cost of the Disney Dining Plan, eligible service members may take advantage of the Military Special Offer for resort hotel rooms, and may add a Disney dining plan to their discounted room reservation, making it a "ticketless package." In order to reserve a military-discounted room, you must call (407) 939-1936 to speak to a Reservations Cast Member, or you may book using the services of a travel agent. Please see the fine print of this offer for eligibility requirements.

My family always takes advantage of the Military Promotional Theme Park Ticket Special Offer, which offers amazing pricing on theme park tickets. These tickets can be purchased at your local base, at Shades of Green, or from any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window. Note that you will need to provide a valid and active U.S. military ID in order to purchase and activate these tickets.

Lynda, I know that was a lot of information! Please come back and see us if you have further questions about dining plans or military offers. From my military family to yours, thank you for your service and sacrifice. I hope you enjoy every minute of your visit – and every bite of the delicious dining and snacking that awaits you!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
