    Disney dining plan worth it

Hi there, Nancy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you found us and brought us your question about one of my favorite topics -- Disney food! It goes without saying that eating and drinking at the Walt Disney World Resort can be just as exciting as anything else you do while on vacation! And in the words of my fellow Moms Panelist Aena D, calories don’t count at Disney!

Now on to your question — is the Disney Dining Plan worth it? I think it is, but of course it depends on your perspective. Do you hope to enjoy some meals as a family (or even as a solo traveler!) while at the Disney Parks? Do you enjoy trying new foods/snacks/offerings while on vacation? Do you enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about what certain food and beverage items cost? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I think the Disney Dining Plans could be a great option for you! Also, in case you might be wondering, there is definitely cost savings potential when comparing the cost of a Dining Plan with paying for meals and snacks out-of-pocket.

Sometimes when I travel with larger groups, not everyone in the party will want to take the time to have a table service meal each day. In this case, the Quick-Service Dining Plan may be a great option. Now, other Disney travelers may very much enjoy at least one relaxed table service meal each day that allows them to recharge and refuel.  In this case, the Disney Dining Plan may be the perfect fit! And the foodie’s paradise, the Deluxe Dining Plan, allows you to make Disney food your primary focus, which I think would be positively fabulous!

Nancy, I know you’re in for a treat, or likely many, when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! During your next visit, I recommend that you check out the Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival for some fresh new flavors that are sure to please, and many options for putting that Dining Plan to good use!

    Bon appétit!
