    Hi Jillian!
My son and I love the Disney Dining Plan!  I can tell you how I maximize my dining credits.  I typically use the Table Service Credits for dinner and the Counter Service Credits (Quick Service) for lunch.  I normally use my snack credits for breakfast to purchase milk, fruit, donuts, or a danish and then I purchase any additional items with cash if I desire more to eat for breakfast.  Typically a Counter Service breakfast is the least expensive of the meals so if you pay out of pocket for it it will be less taxing to your wallet!

I hope that all of your meals are truly magical on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
