We have the Disney Dining Plan when we visit with our nine year old daughter in October. Do Disney distinguish between adult and child credits, or would be able to order her an adult meal if she prefers that menu (on quick and table service)? Thanks

    Hello Karen!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

I am happy to hear that you have added a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package for your upcoming October visit. You will find out that this is the most magical way to enjoy dining opportunities at several amazing participating locations. Besides, there is no better feeling than arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort knowing that your meals are already paid for.

Karen, children 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu where available. This is true for most table-service restaurants, so in case your daughter would like to order an adult meal, you will have to pay out of pocket for that. If you visit a quick-service location and no kid’s menu is available, then she will be welcome to choose from the regular menu. In addition, adults cannot use children’s entitlements, so plan accordingly.

Moms Panel tip: have you already secured tickets for the most spooktacular party of the season? During your visit Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be offered on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park. A separate ticket is required for the party, and I highly recommend preparing your favorite costume and participating. This is my favorite special event at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Thank you for visiting us once again. Please stop by real soon with more questions.

    Best magical wishes,
