HEI HEI, Staci! I’m so glad you used your Wayfinding skills to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m hEAR to help you with your trip planning needs. I just HAD to answer your question about snack credits, because I started drooling over my computer at your mention of
Ghirardelli’s sundaes. Mmmmmmmm. I’m hungrier for one than Maui for a Boat Snack.
I spoke to Nick at the iconic dessert spot in
Disney Springs location, and he gave me some insight on what decadent tastes count within the
Disney Dining Plan. While you can’t spend a full meal credit there, arm yourself with your snack credits, which you can redeem for a single scoop of ice cream (in a cup or a cone), a chocolate bar, a cookie, a brownie, a dipper strawberry or a drink. If I were you, I’d go straight for that classic chocolate bar, or spend it on a bottle water and then splurge with cash on a shareable milk chocolate Ghirardelli sundae. You can easily share with two or three people… it’s enormous and so delicious.
You can also spend your snack credits on Dole Whips are various locations, or Mickey Ice Creams like you mentioned. Look for the square, purple-y icon on Disney menus next to an item. That will clue you into what will count towards your snack credit; keep in mind that
Epcot’s World Showcase has some amazing small bites that count! Now I’m super hungry! Please let me know if you want to chat about any other delectable bites around Walt Disney World Resort. I always joke that I’ve driven by my stomach, and this conversation proves it. Have a magical day! ~ Lindsey P.
