I have the Disney dining plan and am trying to book the Hoop-De-Doo Review. I see that the dining plan is not accepted at some times, but is accepted at others. We would love to go, but don't want to pay out of pocket since the have the DDP. Any advice?

    Holly:

We took our family of 19 to Hoop dee Doo and it provided a memorable finale to our WDW Week!

You absolutely can use your dining plan credits (2 table credits per person) for the show. And you can actually use it for any show time (5:00/7:15/9:30), but you cannot use it for Category 1 seating (which is in the middle and the closest seats to the stage) except for the 9:30 p.m. show.

Our family did the 9:30 show but there were no Category 1 seats, so we settled on Category 2. (There were no seats available at the earlier shows.) The seats were fine and the food just as good, but the time is debatable. Thankfully, the show was at the end of our trip and we were pretty full from the week and ate late lunches anticipating the late show. If you couldn't get an earlier show I recommend that you leave the parks and take a nap if you have little ones.

To me, the 5:00 or 7:15 shows would be my preference over the later show. If you choose the 5:00 p.m. show, afterward, consider heading over to Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Singalong that begins at 7 p.m. in the winter and 8 p.m. during Daylight Savings Time. If you choose the 7:15 p.m. show, you could head down to the pier for the nightly electric water pageant after the dinner! And if you're lucky, Wishes might be showing at Magic Kingdom at 10 p.m.

The show books up far in advance, so don't lose time making your decision.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
