If you are on the Disney Dining plan and are at a table service restaurant, can one person order a meal and the others not? Could two people split one meal? Thanks!

    Hi Susan,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I’ve dined with people who had purchased a Disney Dining Plan before when I had not and it was no problem! When it came time to ask the server for our bill, we just asked them to split it up between the various people who were at the table to make sure that the entitlements were redeemed correctly.

I’ve also had friends with me at various Disney restaurants who, for various reasons, didn’t order any food. So long as you aren’t dining at a buffet or family style restaurant, there shouldn’t be a problem.

There is one major exception, though: sharing meals in order to use only one Disney Dining Plan table service entitlement between two people is generally not allowed. If two people share a meal and they want to use their Disney Dining Plan to pay for their food, they’ll both need to redeem a table service entitlement. If you want to split meals with someone, I would recommend paying for the meal “out of pocket” and then using any extra entitlements that you may have to splurge on a Signature Dining Experience or a Dinner Show

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
