With the disney dining plan, how do I substitute a side for a drink using the mobile app?

It's a great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

I absolutely love how easy it is to use the Disney Dining Plan, and now that you can combine it with the convenience of Mobile Ordering through the My Disney Experience app it's somehow even easier to make the most of your Dining Plan credits. You just need to select what you want through the app, pay for your meals using your Dining Plan credits, and pick it up when you're ready!

When you're ordering a meal and redeeming a Quick-Service credit, you can swap out your drink for an extra side but at the moment this substitution cannot be made through the My Disney Experience app. All you need to do is order with a Cast Member and let them know that you'd like to make that switch! My family loves trying extra sides this way when we can use the refillable mugs that come with the Dining Plan to get drinks at our Walt Disney World Resort hotel. We get dessert and then save a Snack credit to use later to get one of our favorite treats, like a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom Park. In fact that's a great place to use Mobile Ordering! Everyone loves a Dole Whip so get ahead of the crowd and place your order through the app while you're walking through Adventureland and pick it up at the Mobile Order counter.

    Have a magical day, Jennifer!
