    Holly from PA Asked

When will the Disney dining plan return?

    Hi there Holly,

Welcome to planDisney we really appreciate you taking the time to drop by with your question about the Disney Dining Plans.  I bet you are getting excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort later this year and I am glad to see that you are thinking about your Disney Dining!

As of right now, the Disney Dining Plans are still temporarily unavailable for guests.  Disney has announced that they will return in some form or another, however we still do not have a timeline or any other details.  I recommend to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog as well as the official Walt Disney World Resort website for any new information.  If the Disney Dining Plan returns prior to your visit, you will be able to call and add the plan to your existing reservation, if it qualifies.  In the past if you have booked a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package that includes both Theme Park Tickets as well as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay the Disney Dining Plan was available as an option, so imagine that would be similar when the new Disney Dining Plans are announced.

My family and I love the convenience of the Disney Dining Plan and that it was pre-paid prior to our arrival.  What I have done recently is purchase a Disney Gift Card before our trip which we use exclusively for our dining.  This way it feels like we have the Disney Dining Plan since we have essentially pre-paid for our meals, just in a different way.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season, Holly.  If you have any other questions as your vacation approaches please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney, we are always happy to help.
