Hi Kelly,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family really enjoyed our breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant earlier this year, and I think it’s a terrific choice for a meal at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
I’ve got a great tip for you – it’s going to make your planning
so much easier if you’ll be using the Disney Dining Plan. On each restaurant’s web page, look on the right-hand side where location and pricing information can be found. Right above the menu, you’ll see a statement about whether dining plans are accepted, and if you click that, it will open up a box that shows the entitlements required for that restaurant for
each Disney Dining Plan type: Quick-Service, Disney Dining Plan, and Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.
For both 2018 and 2019, breakfast at
Tusker House Restaurant is one entitlement per person on both the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. My family ate there when we were on the Disney Dining Plan, and I thought it was a great value. The character interactions are really adorable – I just cannot get enough of Donald and pals in their Safari Gear - and make for awesome photos. The theming in the restaurant is wonderful, and it’s so nice to be able to order both African foods and classic American options. A standout item for me was the Banana Bread Pudding, which comes with a truly delectable sauce, and don’t miss the Jungle Juice either. I highly recommend trying a little bit of everything on the buffet.
Kelly, I hope you have a
wild time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
