Disney Dining Plan or not? Trying to be on a budget- four adults and a 2 year old going to disney. Using our DVC points for a studio in Polynesian. We are doing 1900 Park Fare and Be our Guest for dinner. No other dinner plans. We are annual passholders.

    Hi Luann,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad that you stopped by with a question for us. I'm sure you and your family are getting excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Deciding whether to get a Disney Dining Plan really depends on your family and how much you plan to eat on your trip. With only two table-service meals planned, I would say that you may be better off to use your Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club discounts for those meals. If you are planning to make more reservations, then the Dining Plan might make more sense. The one thing I love about using the Dining Plan is that all of our meals are paid for in advance and it helps me to stay within a budget. Otherwise, it's harder to plan for how much our food will end up costing us. Since your little one is under the age of three, you won't have to purchase the Dining Plan for him or her which will definitely save you some money. Allears.net is a great website to check prices though and compare the cost of the Dining Plans versus paying out of pocket for the table-service meals that you have planned. Hopefully that will give you a good estimate and help you make your decision!

I sure hope you have a wonderful vacation and make lots of magical memories. If we can help with anything else, just let us know!
