We have the Disney Dining Plan. Do we need to bring cash to tip our servers for each meal? Or can we put it on our room key? Thanks!

    Hi Colleen,

When you check in at your resort a cast member will ask you if you want to use your credit card information to add charging privileges to your room key.  As long as they take this information you'll be able to purchase items using your key -- this includes settling your check at restaurants within Walt Disney World.  So, no, you would not need to bring cash to tip your servers and/or pay for any extra items (appetizers, alcoholic beverages) that you may order during your meal.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
