We have Disney Dining Plan and want to have lunch at Tony's to watch the parade. Can we just make a lunch reservation or must we book the Dining Package to guarantee a table on the patio? Also can you book the Package on a DDP or do you pay extra?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Helen.

What a positively cozy dining venue Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is and a perfect location to view the spectacular Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package redeemed for 1 Meal Entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan, affords you a delightful lunch at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant with a VIP viewing area, nearest the Flagpole for the parade. This is an optimal viewing location as the parade encircles the Flagpole area, affording you spectacular vantage points.

Dining at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant without the parade dining package is another way to see the parade provided you time your meal approximately 1 hour before the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade on your scheduled visit. Upon check-in at the podium, let the Cast Member know that you would appreciate a table on the patio, or at the windows and hopefully a table will open up for you. There are no guarantees, but it’s worth a try. We have enjoyed the parade from the patio, but please keep in mind that other Guests will be standing on the platform area a few feet lower, in front of the patio and may, partially obstruct your view.

Mom's Tip: Look for the heart and paw prints on the lower concrete area in front of the dining patio.

I hope this information is helpful, Helen and wish you a delizioso Lady and the Tramp-inspired dining experience!
