On the 2012 DIsney DIning Plan, do kids still get an appetizer with their entree and dessert at table service meals? I've heard conflicting information. Thanks everyone!

    Hi, Eric!

Children ages 3 - 9 on the Disney Dining Plan do get an appetizer at table service meals.  However, it is not a full appetizer from the adult menu.  It might be a choice of fruit salad or carrot sticks, a small garden salad or a cup of soup.  Many locations will have a kids menu that will list beverage/appetizer/entree/dessert and the kids can pick one from each category.  For some reason, my kids always thought it was fun to circle their choices so they were prepared to give their order to our server!

If your child, or an adult for that matter, would like a full size appetizer, you may order it and it will be added to your bill.  The same thing goes for specialty beverages or any additional menu items.

Have a great time enjoying all the wonderful dining in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
