If I have the Disney dining plan and, for example, get counter service breakfast at my resort but have the refillable mug so I don't need a beverage, can I get a pastry/dessert in place of the beverage?

    Hi Evelyn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Thank you for sending in this question.  When using any of the Disney Dining Plans, with each Quick-Service meal a drink is included, and this can be an alcoholic drink for guests of age 21 and over.  These drinks are totally separate from the refillable drinks available with your refillable mug.  The drinks provided with your Quick-Service meal are not refillable, but if you would like more than one drink with your meal (alcoholic or otherwise) you can, of course, pay for this.  You can always top-up your refillable mug and take it to your meal with you, and then request a bottle of water as your drink allowance with your dining plan, which you can take away with you.  It may be possible to swap the drink for a dessert, but it is completely down to the discretion of the restaurant or food location, but it's always worth asking.  At many places you can also purchase a dessert using one of your Snack credits.

You will be allocated your total amount of credits at check-in (if you use online check-in, this will be from 7.00am on your arrival day) and you may use your credits up to midnight on your departure day.  It's easy to keep a track of your dining plan credit balance on your My Disney Experience app, or by asking your server at any restaurant.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on any events that may be happening during your stay.
