Hi Annmarie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Are you ready for some delicious food? I hope so, because that is exactly what comes to mind when I hear the words "
Disney Dining Plan." Now I'm dreaming of the Warm Cinnamon Roll with extra icing at Gaston's Tavern. When I was there a couple of months ago, this item counted as a snack entitlement on the dining plans and I highly recommend trying it! It was big enough for our family to share and oh, so yummy! *drool*
The dining plan begins once you check in at your
Disney Resort hotel and ends at midnight on the day you check out. The dining plan is per night, not per day. If you are stay for 5-nights, 6-days, you pay for a 5-night dining plan. With the Disney Dining Plan, that would translate to five Quick-Service meals, five Table-Service meals, and 10 snacks per person. All meal and snack entitlements are put into your account together as soon as you check in, which means you can use them in any order you would like. In other words, you don't have to use a Quick-Service meal, Table-Service meal, and two snacks each day. You can use five snacks on day one, three Quick-Service meals on day two, and so on. Just make sure to keep track of the entitlements you have left (it will show up at the bottom of your receipts and the Front Desk can also print a copy at your Disney Resort hotel).
If you would like to pay out-of-pocket for any food items, you certainly can! You are not required to use your dining plan for a particular snack or meal. Even though I can use snack entitlements on bottled water, I usually pay out-of-pocket for those and choose to save my snack entitlements for other items like that Warm Cinnamon Roll I mentioned earlier! *drooling again*
I hope I have helped explain how your entitlements work, Annmarie! Happy dining!
