Hi Angela, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel once again! It is an honor to help such an old friend!
I have been confused by the credit card policy regarding the dining reservations when I first started planning my honeymoon, but I assure you that no doubt will remain after this answer is finished.
You will indeed be asked to provide Disney with your credit card information when
booking dining reservations, but you will only be charged if you fail to honor said reservation without cancelling within the cancellation window. Once you arrive at the restaurants to enjoy your amazing meals, you will be able to let your server know that you are on a
Dining Plan and use your credits accordingly.
The only exception to that rule is
Cinderella's Royal Table at
Magic Kingdom Park. Once you secure your reservation, you will be charged for the total price of your meal and then refunded after your visit if you use your Table Service Dining Plan credits to pay for your experience.
I hope this clarifies the role of your credit card information on the reservation process and that you are able to get all the amazing spots you hope to experience in November!
We look forward to helping you again, so, please, keep coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel as your plans develop!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
