When is Disney Dining coming back?

Hello there, Dona! Welcome to planDisney.

The Disney Dining Plan is wildly popular and as you can imagine, everyone is wanting to know if or when it will make its return. Well, the good news is Walt Disney World just announced a few days ago that the Disney Dining Plan will, indeed, make a comeback. This has been a relief to many people as there was speculation it might now return to us. However, there was no set date with the announcement. Only that it will be back at a later date. I think it won't return until more restaurants at Walt Disney World are open. We are returning to a World of Magic and announcements about places opening back up, like Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom Park, are happening quite frequently. Keep your eyes out over on the Disney Parks Blog for coming information as to when the Disney Dining Plan might return.

Until then, Dona, what I've been suggesting to Guests asking about the Disney Dining Plan is actually to pick up some Disney Gift Cards between now and their vacations. I like to add them to my grocery cart each week. Using Disney Gift Cards is similar to the Disney Dining Plan in the sense that it is already paid for before your vacation and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. Picking up gift cards each week can quickly add up. I also ask for Disney Gift Cards for birthdays and holidays. Using Disney Gift Cards for food and beverages makes it a lot easier to order that splurgy meal because you've already paid for it!

I'm sorry I don't have more information about the return of the Disney Dining Plan, Dona. If you have any other questions, please stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
