Welcome to planDisney, Mary!
I'm so happy to be speaking with a fellow Florida resident! I love that we have so many wonderful ways to save as neighbors of Mickey Mouse himself. Keep your eye on the
Special Offers Deals & Discounts page on the Disney World website to stay up to date on all of the ways you can save money as a Florida resident!
The most wonderful time of the year (Christmas) happens to be best celebrated at The Most Magical Place on Earth (Disney World) and the decorations for the holiday season go up early so Guests can enjoy the festivities as long as possible! Holiday decorations begin to appear as early as November 1, and we typically see the theme parks and resorts fully decorated (or very close to fully decorated) in mid-November. I see it looks like you're going to be visiting around November 13 this year -- I would guess that you will see the parks fully decked out for Christmas at that time. To enjoy the Christmas spirit more, consider getting tickets for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I love this celebration at Magic Kingdom and am always so joyful when I attend!
As for the Florida Residents Discounts: Currently, all Florida Residents Ticket Offers require adults to show their ID and proof of Florida residency. The policy states "For Florida resident tickets, all adults will need to show proof of Florida residency at the park entrance." I would recommend that your children and grandchildren keep looking at the
Specials Deals page (unless they are also Florida residents), as there may be other ways for them to save some money on tickets for Disney World.
If you have additional questions before your family trip, Mary, we would love to hear from you again.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
Allyn
