Going to Disney in December and wanting to know if they have costume rentals there to save space in the suitcase?

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

My friends either tease me or ask me to teach them my tricks when I tell them that I haven’t checked a bag for a flight in almost a decade! I completely understand wanting to save space in a suitcase. After all, that means that you’ll have more space for souvenirs, too!

From what I understand, there are no official costume rental facilities at Walt Disney World Resort. There may be some rental facilites in the Orlando area that could help you out in a pinch, but I don’t have any to recommend in particular.

Don’t forget, however, that Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules specify that Guests over the age of 14 may not wear costumes in the Theme Parks, Water Parks or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. If you were planning to rent these costumes to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, some costumes may be permitted, but they need to follow some very specific costume guidelines (specially designed for Special Events).

I hope my answer helps you plan and pack for the perfect Disney Parks vacation. Please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
