Going to Disney in Dec for xmas and I was wondering during if disney has discounts for Canadians? I know back in the day they had canadian at par. Will they have xmas specials?

    Bonjour Sonya!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so excited that you came to us with your magical question, and I am thrilled to be helping a fellow Canadian Guest! How excited are you to be experiencing the magic of the Holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort? I got to experience the Christmas magic at Disney for the first time last year, and it was truly the happiest, merriest time of year!

To answer your question, Disney often does offer special discounts to its northern neighbour, which is a great perk we Canadians get! However, we never know exactly when these offers will be announced and what they will consist of exactly. At this time, most of the special offers available extend through the summer, and none of them are specific to Canadian residents. For that reason, I would highly suggest that you keep an eye on the Walt Disney World website and the Disney Parks Blog, as these sites usually report on new special offerings. That way, you will be ready to book the most magical vacation at the best rate possible!

Now, much like Olaf during the Yuletide Festival, let's talk about some of my own Holiday traditions for that time of year! While some like to bake a giant cookie in the wavy shape of Norway, I like to grab some holiday treats at the Main Street Confectionery or stop by the different food booths at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Similarly, instead of going from door to door to door while singing with your choir, stop by the America Gardens Theatre to watch the annual Candlelight Processional. Lastly, while you might be trying to run away from the snow (I get it!) I highly recommend spending the night at Magic Kingdom Park for a special after-hours event. The themed fireworks, parade, shows and treats truly get you in the holiday spirit, and there is no better sight than snow slowly falling on Main Street USA!

I hope this was helpful and that you and your loved ones will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out! I am always happy to help fellow Canadians like me. After all, there is no better magic than the magic that only happens when we're all together!

Have a happy, merry, holly, jolly day,
