    Going to Disney in Dec was wondering if you knew if Disney has a prepaid debit card? I know about the gift cards but if there is a balance on them you cant spend it anywhere but Disney, right? Didn't really want to use my bank debit card. Thank You

    Hi Darla!

    First off - I love visiting Walt Disney World in December. The holiday decorations are absolutely amazing! (Plus, the special holiday snacks and souvenirs are an attraction in their own right.)

    As for your question, Disney does not offer a prepaid debit card at this time. However, I'm glad to see that you've already done some checking into the Disney Gift Card program. Here are three reasons why I regularly endorse the Disney Gift Cards:

    1) They don't expire and there aren't any service fees;
    2) They're easy to reload at various locations around Walt Disney World; and
    3) You can personalize them with your own photos (how fun!).

    If you were to come home from your vacation with a balance on your card, you can use it for purchases at your local Disney Store or online at DisneyStore.com.

    Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

    There's a Disney Gift Card app that you can download on your smartphone that will allow you to view balances of multiple cards (if each person in your family has their own) as well as transaction history. This is an awesome tool that will help you manage your budget in real-time.

    I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to send them my way.

    Best regards,
    Derek
