We are going to Disney in Dec. for our daughter's 3rd bday. Her god parents are meeting us there to spend the day with us. Is there anything we can do for a small party? Theres only 5 of us & I don't want them to have to buy park tickets unless necessa

    Hi Toddyana,

Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate a birthday.  There are a lot of places you could go without having to step inside a park.  You could make reservations at one of the restaurants in the resorts.  Character dining is always a special treat.  I especially like 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.  At breakfast you can eat with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter.  At dinner, you'll find the characters from Cinderella.

'Ohana is another fun place to celebrate.  There are games and activities during dinner that will keep you laughing and smiling.

No matter where you dine, you can order a birthday cake to add to your celebration.  They have small cakes that are available for purchase without any pre-ordering.  For something a little more fancy, you could call (407)827-2253.  You need to give the bakers at least 48 hours advance notice to order a custom cake.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
