    We will be going to Disney for 8 days, we have the quick service meal plan as well as groceries being delivered to the resort. Im having hard time figuring out how spending money we will need. (Family of 5..ages 4,5,9) plus each child has $100

    Hello, Shawn!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    Wow!  Eight days at Walt Disney World is simply MAGICAL!  I am sure the excitement has taken over your household and the countdown has already begun.  

    Planning a spending budget is always difficult and even advising guests is even harder.  However, considering that you have a great Disney Dining Plan and are bringing groceries into your resort makes it a bit easier.  I also have five members in my party, so I think I can offer some good advice on your spending budget.  We always take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan with every visit.  This really helps you stay well within your food budget and it is a lot of food.  I always carry one hundred dollars with me into the parks daily.  I can only think of a few times that I have gone over my daily budget.  I usually leave with at least twenty dollars in my pocket at the end of the day.  The money usually goes towards extra snacks.  The only times I have gone over my daily budget is when I have purchased souvenirs.  This is the very reason I now give each of my teenagers a one hundred dollar Disney Gift Card. Once their money is gone, it's gone!  With each of your children having their own money to spend, I think setting aside one hundred dollars a day is safe.  I truly think you will have money left over at the end of each day.
